SpiceJet offers R-Day for defence personnel

New Delhi, Jan 11 – Ahead of India’s 60th Republic Day, low budget carrier SpiceJet has announced a 100 percent discount on basic fares for defence personnel travelling with the airline.

The offer will be valid from 60 days from Jan 26-March 26 for serving as well as retired defence, paramilitary personnel and their families.

‘To commemorate the 60th anniversary of our Republic Day, we have launched this very special 60 day offer for our defence and paramilitary personnel and their families,’ SpiceJet Chief Commercial Officer Samyukth Sridharan said Monday.

‘This plan, we believe, will help our defence personnel plan their personal travel in advance and help them connect with their friends and families easily. This offer is a small gesture from SpiceJet to recognise the immense contributions of our defence personnel to the society,’ he added.

Defence personnel can avail the offer by booking their tickets under the Indian Armed Forces and personnel option on www.spicejet.com. Passengers need to present their identity card at the time of check-in. There are no other restrictions applicable on flight bookings and there is no limit on the number of tickets that may be bought.

However, bookings made under this offer cannot be rescheduled or cancelled. The offer is not valid for infants. Passenger service fee, relevant airport taxes and fuel charge will apply.

Low fare airline, SpiceJet operates 129 flights daily to 18 cities in India.
